worth getting ?

    quick question i'm thinking of getting a new Motherboard and CPU. I can get this set for £89.99 is it worth getting or not ?

    Well, what do you have now?

    Whats your budget for a motherboard and cpu?

    Also, just a point. I don't like celerons very much atall, as they are very poor performing cheap chips. There might be something better that fits your budget.

    I would not go with a Celeron unless you really need a computer now, I am not a fan of mine at all(but I can't live without a computer). It seems like it would make a nice second system, but I can't say if its a good price since I don't know what stuff costs in the UK. As bubsterboo said, it really depends on what you will use it for and what you have now and your budget.

    I had a Celeron, it worked fine. Then I got my Athlon64. The A64 beat the **** out the Celeron, same clock speed, but way bigger cache for the same-ish price. I'm nat saying AMD is the best ever, a Core 2 Duo would be better, but rather than Celerons are weak
