your res need to be the HIGHEST point of the system, not level...
your GPU will be getting the hot coolant from your CPU, so i dont see how that will be effective at all, so you should consider splitting the flow with a t-peice before the blocks and then joining them again afterwards....
but all is lookin good...

You really dont need the res at the highest point if you properly bleed the air out of the system..but you really should have the radiator before the cpu. And runnning your cpu and gpu in series should be ok. We need pics when your done
You may well be able to manage a small rise from the rad out to the ses anyway.
Err... sorry, but this setup is not going to work. The res needs to be the last item in the circuit before coolant returns to the pump (in this case it needs to follow the Graphic Card block, not the rad).
Otherwise, looks fine; the CPU and Graphic Card block can indeed be set up in series.
You need not worry about the water after the cpu, it really does not heat up that much on a desent system, mine gets hotter by 0.3c.
I would however strongly advice against using splitters as it causes un ever water flow and kills your system ballance.
If you are going to use your res as an airtrap then it does need to be at the top of your system. The order of things is still being contested, resent tests done on overclockers.com suggest that the water should go from your pump to the block as the block needs water at its highest velocity. The temp of the water does remain fairly static so the arguement about the water needs to come from the rad does look increasingly weak. The main problem is that it is still unproven one way or another.

Unfortunately a lot about watercooling is not a simple yes or no, but a shade between the two.

pump - block - rad - res
However the fashion at the moment is -
pump - rad - block - res.
I run the bottom one at present, but have also very successfully run the top as well. So if you want a definative answer it has to be "a probable maybe"
And yes that is what the test bed is for. However I have 2 reviews and 3 articles in the process of being done. I will do it just out of interest, but it will take about 3 weeks.

Sounds reasonable but why exactly?
Water is expelled from the pump. It flows as long as it's under pressure. When it reaches the res, it just pools in there and does not go anywhere, except where it flows out the exit barb under the influence of gravity, or is pushed out by incoming water which involves considerable pressure loss as the air pocket in the top of the res needs to be compressed first.
So it is best for the res to be last in the circuit so water is sucked out of the res by the pump as fast as it enters, and flow is balanced and preserved.
So the reason is that the pump generates better flow pushing rather than sucking water?
That being the difference between res-pump-block-rad and res-block-pump rad.
No, it's got nothing to do with the pump pushing or sucking. It's got to do with the water pressure (and therefore flow) being absorbed in the res. The res acts like a buffer, so to speak; water will not be pushed out (at least not until the res is completely filled up and even then there will be some pressure loss). Therefore the pump must suck water out instead.
Look, even if you don't get it, just put the res last in your circuit, otherwise it really will not work. Trust me.
Res just before the pump or it will not work.
hes saying that it wont be able to push thewater in the res.....cause if the water wil lose all its flow.....andd a better way to say that is the res needs to be right before the pump, cause people will get confused if u say that it needs to be last part in the loop and u dont explain that the pump is considered the first part in the loop
