H.G.R in his Universal Univis Country Squire 2. I think Horn Rimmed glasses are the poo. I am a nerd and want a pair, I am even thinking about wearing them to work. To me they look, dependable, inteligent, thoughtfull, and smart. What do you think about these retro reading glasses? I need to take driving lessions this year and they could double as driving glasses?
Is that a reply to the post above or an overall oppinion of the thread? Maybe both? ------------------------------- Overall, if i were given those glasses on the NHS, i'd cry and pull my eyes out for an excuse not to wear them.
No. rimless every time, my faves are my silhouettes. Horn-rimmed has no association with geekness, just bigness.
Gotta agree with Landy_Ed. I'm a semi rimless or even better, rimless kinda guy. I'd choose them over the horn rimmed every time. My new rimless Oakleys will be the dogs balls once I get them [edit] Split Thread frames: Saw them ages ago on a poster in a local opticians and wanted them ever since. My memory metal everyday pair are getting a bit dated (3 years old yo) so I'm havin me some Oakley goodness!
yes, go for it, they are brilliant. Myself im looking to get some ray bans, you should check them out - they have a model that looks exactly the same as the ones on pictures you posted, but they are not too expensive
Oakley goodness indeed! If i was ever gonna get glasses, and god knows I need them, they would be oakley.
No - I don't need them because I'm not an inferior human specimen. If I did need glasses however I'd go and see Gordon Freeman's optician.
I honestly like them! I've been looking around for an interesting pair of glasses as I'm pretty bored with my 'standard bench rectangle' frames, and I think something like that fits the bill. Annoyingly, I cant seem to find a decent pair in the shops. That being said, it's seriously hard for me to find glasses that suit my face! I say go for them, they're interesting at the very least!
+1 for Oakleys... Mine have held up pretty well considering I have always had a knack for breaking glasses.. I've still managed to break the arms on these in the most curious way, yet a little dab of superglue and all is well. Only gripe is the rubber bits on the arms on mine just where they rest over your ears, they've eroded to such an extent that there's now only about an inch left on either arm that I keep moving up towards the 'points' at the end... If anyone knows where I can get replacements that would be epic (if a tad O/T)...
