OK, so I know there are a lot of these threads. But this is another card that caught my eye.

About 2 feet long, looks to be dual GPU, 640MB 256-bit GDDR3 RAM, 3840*2400 max res.

    3DLabs WildCat Realizm

OK, so it's over $2,100 bucks. And probably sucks for gaming. But...it's pretty :).

All this is correct. And the difference between this and the 512MB graphics cards that ATi and nVidia have to offer is that this card will perform terribly in gaming environments. It's for extreme CAD work (as Zer0 said). It's basically a card that will intake, render, chew up, and spit out polygons faster than all get-out. Still, pieces of hardware like this amaze me.

Indeed that is a beast of a card, but i love the recommended PC specs.
That's just silly - someone's just spent $2142 dollars on a rendering card and they don't have 512MB of RAM?

Its not all that silly. People will try to put them in the oldest boxes just to see when they will stop functioning. Its better for a company to take a stand and say, if you have less than 512m, we will not help you try to trouble shoot it.

Thats nothing, at least compared to the Evans and Sutherland Simfusion 6500, quad 9800xt w/ 256mb per core (1gb total). Last I talked to their sales rep it was $23,000 USD per card.

Nvidia also has a great card, the Quadro FX 4400, it's basicly a PCI-E 6800ultra with 512 DDRIII and SLI; doesn't have very good gaming proformance though. I think it runs for about $6,000, but I'm not sure about that.

If you want a cheeper quatro card you can always get a regualr 5900series or a 6800 series and soft mod em to quatro and they will perform like quatro cards.

I actualy softmoded my fx5900xt to a quatro b4 and it does soft mod quite easily and runs as a quatro card but I dont need a graphics rendering card I neded a gaming card.

and if you want multi gpu cards look at the volari duo set as well, those things looked amazing on paper but performance was lacking due to horrid drivers.
