I don't think it's that no one cares anymore, it's just everyone who has a watch that they'd post has now posted after the initial rush...

For another forum I have a pocket watch with a thumbdrive on the workbench. Standard USB seem too large. Back to you as I progress.

It seems most people just buy watches and never think of tinkering them into something else.

I've been wearing this one recently, but the strap's too large and I don't know whether to hack links out, swap it for another strap or just put up with it

Looks better IRL, in that pic it's covered in dust.

I cant believe this thread wasnt started earlier, ive always liked watches, and whilst ive never been super rich, ive never been afraid to spend well on watches (within what i can afford of course)

Currently though i only have 3 watches, they tend to come and go with me, so heres pic of ones i have.

one on left is a seiko something or other, really liked look originally, i bought this on 23rd february 2001. £295.. which was alot then.

When i got fed up with battery changes and reseals, price increased dramatically, i then moved onto Seiko kinetic auto relay. £350
I really love this watch and never to need batteries is great for me.

Then recently i relegated this to the watch i wear at work, so not worried about scratching etc, so after work and at weekends i use the, Citizen Blue angels eco watch.

It was selling for over £400 at the time but i managed to get shop down to £350 for cash.
Then realised that soon they did a titanium version (grrrrr too late now).

My next watch will be either Tag carrera, or most likely the Rolex Daytona, white dial.

chrisb2e9, the black/orange version wasnt available when i got mine, but the original blue one still seems to sell for more?
    weird.

That looks nice Gunsmith - what does it weigh?

I'm in the market for an analogue chrono, but it's got to be fairly light (I *hate* heavy watches), my current one is about 100 grams...
