I've probably got 5 watches of various makes and quality lying about at home (accumulated through time from well meaning family). I passionately hate wearing watches, simply because I don't like the way they look and feel around my arm. This one, however, I want quite badly. And I'd wear the ***t out of it. Too bad it's a designer watch, costs about 4000 USD, and that in tiself would require years of saving from my side. Please meet the Tudor Ducati Fastrider.
Nothing wrong with colour at all. People these days are boring with their watch colours, cars, everything really. I'll never wear a silver watch again, ever. Rock on fella, rock on! I was actually looking at getting a G-Shock as a digital alternative. I take it you like them Any in particular you'd recommend?
Tag Heuer LINK Calibre 36 Automatic: Worn everyday. Still looking for a vintage Heuer automatic dress watch though.
Swatch Body & Soul Semi-Solid (Irony automatic movement). I disliked the bling stainless strap, so switched it for an anodized one that matches the inside of the case. I defy you to find a cheaper Swiss automatic. What I want is a Bell & Ross BRO3 42mm, though. Bit pricey.
Have a look on youtube matey, there's quite a few people who do video reviews of GShocks. This guy http://www.youtube.com/user/DougFNJ and this guy are both good http://www.youtube.com/user/mygshock In terms of shopping for them, I just browse the popular watch shops, pretty much everywhere sell them. Looking at some that are more subtle, these black models are awesome and stealthy - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCYK4kHKTBc
This one is a Breguet, model Marie-Antoinette. I do love this one from Hebdomas, the Hebdomas 8 days skeleton cal 102
GuilleAcoustic - not sure I could ever pull off carrying around a pocket watch but those are SEXY. Finally got around to taking a shot of my new watch: Seiko Chrono by angad84, on Flickr
My watch! I might be in my mid 20's but I'll always love lego. My dad is actually a collector of watches and clocks. Hes got four grandfathers sat around the house ticking away. These are my favourites in his collection: (Titanium) and then there's this little beastie:
Just bought a new fob watch for my wife (it's a suprise). I'll mount it as a pendant using a satin / organza ribbon. The watch is only a little more than 22mm wide.
Got it for my birthday. It's one of the mechanical ones, no battery, pretty cool. You can also see the gears, which is pretty much the reason i chose it.
I do find it inreresting that the vast majority of us that have posted, who are all self confesed computer / tech nerds, have mechanical, analog watches. For me, it's the precision engineering involved in it. What about you?
mecanical watch are the best ones. My fob watches are all mecanical and where made back in the 19th century .... and they still work like a charm ! I can't stop spending hours watching all those gears running, ticking .... living Very nice wrist watch you got there, I love skeleton watches.
