Repairing a Seagull is likely to be a hassle, servicing is not. If I were you, I'd grab a couple of donor watches (or movements) if you see any going for cheap.

This replaced my wristwatch in the late 90's.
Took a couple of years for the freckles to reform on the spot my watch had been for twenty years though :D

And glancing at you wrist was replaced by rummaging around in your pocket, pressing a button, checking for new messages at the same time, seeing someone has posted a picture of a cat on facebook, looking to company like you are waiting for something more important... Oh how far we have come :)

Donor parts aren't going to be cheap if it is a Venus 175 like I've read. ;)

Edit: Scratch that, it's a never ST19 movement based off the 19 jewel ST3 used in the original prototypyes. Seems relatively generic in terms of getting parts, but someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

In the meantime, I'm having trouble choosing a couple of nice straps for my Seagull. Can anyone make some suggestions please (I want one in leather I think :)).

Edit 2: Done some photoshop mockups and I've decided on a red alligator strap, providing I can find the right shade of red (light maroon or wine). If not, then blue. :)

Not donor parts, donor movements. Just buy cheap old ST19-baed seagulls off ebay or whatever and keep them for a rainy day.

As for straps, I think it looks stunning on brown alligator, never been one for too many colors on my wrist. I'm boring :p

    Cheers. :)

The alligator I've been looking at is just a very 'reddy' brown and it looks pretty damn nice. Going to see what I can get hold of today.

All of that wasn't possible on that phone :D
It just showed the time...without pressing a button.

A feature I dearly miss on smartphones, really.

Can anyone advise me on how to stop the 60 second chronograph moving with the main hands? All I can do is stop the main hands or reset both chronographs, even then, the 60 second one keeps going. What am I missing? D:

Are you referring the small second face on the left side of the watch?
    That's the normal second counter.

So that's supposed to be running alongside the main hands at all times? Please feel free to call me a dumbass. :)

Indeed, the red hand is the chronograph second hand :)

I didn't realise at first, and I think it's a pity in a way since the red hand is a nice colour and so would look good moving around the face (in my opinion)
Still a lovely looking watch though :D

Lol, yeah thats right. The large second hand is the chronograph second hand. So you can read it easier I believe.

Nice, I love my Skyhawk Eco Drive. Had it for over 6 months now and the battery indicator has never moved off full.

Very nice the signals. Nearly bought the nighthawk till I saw the price of this.

I was always going to go for an Eco-Drive until I saw the titanium Skyhawk and came down with a bad case of the shinies. Amazon had it for £90 off rrp as well so what else could I do?

It rarely fails to get a signal overnight and on those odd occasions it does, I just tell it to go check again while I am at work. Now a couple of colleagues use mine as a reference to set their watches each week.

Saw a new range of watches yesterday. Our should I say a new brand well for me anyway. They called TW Steel, if you like big watches you will love these
