    Ahh, didn't think of that... I havent really thought this through have I? :sigh:

    Here is an idea if you are really handy with tools, the front part of the module is non transparent plastic with holes for the segments, some have the holes filled with transparent epoxy, some have the holes taped up with a mask sticker on the front.

    First make notes for the electrical array, then file off the entire back and use SMD LEDs of the wanted colors to replace the molded in ones, fasten them with glue or make a PCB.

    Then draw wires out in the right places and mold a bottom out of epoxy.

    A lot of work, but it can be done.

    You could allso buy a different display and fit it in the right place, but wire it in with wires instead of soldering it directly into the holes.
