WTF?! What is making these games crash!?

    I can't open games. At all. Here is what happens:

    I click on the game or double click on it's icon. Loads to the games' respective loading screen. Craps out after 15 seconds (give or take). It's happening with CS:S, Battlefield 1942, Half-Life 2, Quake III, even Starcraft. I'm sure that if I installed more games, it would happen with them. I can use any other program fine, so wtf is going on??

    I updated the drivers about 2 weeks ago to the new official Catalysts. I played games fine until today, so I dont think it's a driver issue. I can't even load menus

    I have had a similar problem before, mine was precisely a very nasty virus called w32.parite that injected itself into any running program/dll and it corrupted almost all of my games... and I had to reformat, get a decent virus scanner (avg free if you want one for free)... and scan...

    I have no overclocks, no windows tweaks. I was playing fine yesterday then today its BAM no gaming.

    I have Norton Systemworks 2005 with the latest updated virus definitions, clean scans on a full drive scan. Nothing. It's freaking pissing me off :wallbash:
