No posts about this yet?! Steve's keynote is happening now, couple of sites are live blogging from it, here is one with live audio!: http://www.iphonealley.com/news/wwdc-2007-keynote-live-audio-stream So far they've announced a whole new finder, with coverflow built in!
I know I'm a Windows fanboy but all the stuff in here is also in Vista (apart from coverflow, which is pretty damn useless).
Safari on windows is not something I was expecting any time soon. It will make it far easier to test website in windows only. I think some of the stuff on leopard is looking good. I'm glad they've done some work on finder as its always been the biggest let down on os x. Ramble: All the bits vista have, os x has had for some years already
Check out some PDC03 videos. Stuff like sidebar, instant search and more is demoed. Well, that was a pretty weak WWDC. Throughly unimpressed.
Apple have updated their website too now, it looks far better. Safari for windows is out too. Just downloading now. Edit: UK site is still the old version US one is new one.
I didn't expect a release of Safari on Windows! Oh well, will be a little less weird surfing on Windows. I hope this isn't the start of unappreciative Windows users getting ALL of our goods! lol I look forward to Leopard, seems like it's going to be worth the upgrade fees.
YAY! That was a real pain and one of the big downsides of safari. I've had a quick try of it on windows and its ok, bit buggy though. I couldn't add a button eg home button for some reason.
just added all my favs to safari , I'm liking the clean minimal look added the home button ok here gordy (not that it will make you feel any better )
Why would you choose Safari over Firefox? :S Especially judging Apple's shoddy track record for Windows software (i.e., iTunes)
for the same reason a dog can lick it own testicles seriously thought Firefox has not been great for me since 2.0
Seems to work now dunno what was happening before. Other than that I get an error if I want to install bonjour with it. Something along the lines of not having enough privileges to restart it. Despite being on a full admin account.
Hm, well the new things like quick look in Leopard seem nice and I'm glad to hear third-party support for the iPhone (hello, Skype!), but I would have loved to see some new hardware. Or .mac. Or iLife. Or iWork. And it seems that the market agreed with me, with the Apple stock down more than four bucks. Don't greatly care about Safari, especially not for Windows. It's a nice enough browser, but I'll continue ignoring it until it has extensions.
