when i plugin the homebrew cable... is there supposed to be a new hardware dialog box? and if their isnt supposed to, when i go to install hardware controll panel, and do have from disk, i select the "xid.inf" and then it tells me "The specified location does not contain information about your hardware." I installed the registry file first b4 pluging in the adapter, was that a bad thing to do first?
basicly wha tyou need to do is match up the cables so each colour goes to its corasponding colour on the usb lead. when you have matched all the colours up you will be left with once colour on the X-box side this isn't ened so cut it off. when you plug it in it should come up with game controler found like you do with any other piece of hardware you plug in then isntall the drivers and away you go.
hi all could someone post a working link to the xctrl drivers please i've tried codeunderground and thats down thanks Dean
Look on Google... I found them the other day (took my controller into work) and can't remember the address. When I did the mod on mine, I opened up the plug at the end (it just clips apart), and soldered the usb cable directly to the xbox plug, then I put a hole in the side of the plug, and snaped it back together. Means I can still use it on the XBox or the PC.
umm where did all the newbies come from? anyway, isnt 2000 pro a server os? why would you play games on it?
There are adapters to hook a PS2 controller to a PC, There are all sorts of wiring diagrams and Gravis makes a gamepad that is very similar to the PS2 controller. >isnt 2000 pro a server os? why would you play games on it? Windows 2000 Pro is basically the same as XP home and Pro. Just another name for Windows 2000. A business level OS with a lot of use. I played games on it for a long time. It had the ability to play games and the stability of NT. Windows 2000 server is the server OS.
