x-files movie

I have a feeling that most people on this site are too young to remember the x-files. But for thoes who do, apparently there is a new movie coming out.

The trailer wont be released for another hour(as of the time of this writing) so I haven't seen it yet. No idea what it could be about. apart from the obvious of course.

 

to young to remember, i was sneaking out of bed at night to watch it a few years back. really want to watch the seires again thou, should make the movie better... also have the first movie on dvd still shrink wraped

 

Not too sure how this will go, I think they left too much of a gap between the series and the first film to ride on the tail of the success of either. If they plunge straight back into the series arc they might loose a lot of viewers, if they try to explain the set up for newcomers it will take up a lot of screen time to chart the relationship between the characters and the X-Files world.

It could go either way, I'll probably still go and see it though.

hell no x-files was one of the best series that ever lived....cant wait for this, looks cool!

God no !! the X-files sucked big time what ever happened to the rumoured red dwarf movie now that would be cool

 

Dear god no! The Dwarf movie has died a respectful death and (hopefully) been forgotten about. If there's one thing that could dirty the memory of 8 awesome series it's a crappy movie with over-aged actors.

Yeah, been keeping tabs on this. Been an X-Phile since the beginning, so I'm sure that shows my age.

They're tight-lipped about it, which is Modus Operandi for Chris Carter and the X-Files team. I honestly don't want to know anything about it, TBH. I like being surprised. They previously had a funny little teasing of the press by purposefully throwing everyone off the scent with a werewolf animatronic they were posing near outside, just within range of "spy cameras". LOL. Totally has nothing to do with the film, just to F with the press. Hahahhaa. It's a "standalone" style movie, not unlike the standalone episodes of the show. All I know is it's "supernatural" in nature. And Ms. Anderson looks beautiful as ever.

Was I the only one sad enough to collect those X-Files cards thingeys that they did in the folder? Still have the full set somewhere. Cost me a fortune! *off to attic*

 

The last film was sweet, and the series was awesome, up until the part where Moulder was abducted (series 10? ish? onwards?) which kinda sucked.

There will never ever be a Red Dwarf movie. Let me fondly remember series 6 and 7 (8 shall be mostly forgotten).
