Hi guys, Im trying to install debian files using X Terminal.

    I have followed these steps:

    1. Downloaded the 2 deb files I need - example ussd and ussd1
    2. Installed Rootsh
    3. Opened X Terminal and run Sudo gainroot
    4. I saved my files in several directories (becomes apparent in a minutes)
    5. Changed the directory to one of the saved files located.
    6. Run the dpkg -i ussd.deb

Now it cant find the file. That's why I saved to several different folders, changed the directories and tried running the install again but nothing. It does try to install but it can't find the files. I have checked the folders using the 'is' command but it finds nothing (I may be spelling this part wrong)

One more problem Im facing is, I can change the directory to /MyDocs but I can't find in the File Manager program where this is (I can find home/user/mypackages but not MyDocs)

    Hope someone can help.

I haven't tried what you're doing myself, but when attempting to edit a windows registry from linux last week even though i was browsing to the exact folder where i had stuff saved the terminal wasn't finding it because i mounted the hard drives wrong (/hda1 instead of /sda1).

I don't have the time to now maybe you should just do some googling for tutorials slightly related to what you're trying to do and you're likely to find your answer ;)
