Whaddayaknow the Italian electrics caught fire ;)

I guess it's a serious almost-accident and I shouldn't make fun of it.. And there's definitely nothing funny about all the rich people having to eat spam.

Spam has a bead reputation, bit it's actually not that bad at all. It is however very cheap and chock full of calories. It makes for a good emergency short-term food supply for stranded passengers.

Goes to show the value of a military. It's expensive, but when sh!t really needs to get done RIGHT NOW, they can do it.

Given the fact that it was the military that came to the rescue, I'm somewhat surprised that they haven't been sending in crates of MREs. Self-contained meals that come packaged with their own heating elements seems just right for this situation.

They'll have to make do with just croissants...

Must be a pretty serious fire to knock out that much power generation!

Without knowing anything about the plant equipment involved it sounds like a pretty serious fire to knock out all the main generators in the forward and aft engine rooms.

Even so, Spam and croissants sounds good. (As long as there's jam...) :D

Actually Spam in the can is quite useful to a single individual. Slice it, grind it for a salad sandwich thing. Problem is 1 slice is 80% of RDA of salt! Fry it, but be careful of the smoke detector.

Spam and a croissant? Sounds like a standard British Airways meal :)
