That's a bit toasty for stock air. Mine didn't run that hot, mine was 60'C at full load on a seriously toasty day...

I've just bought a new EVGA 7900gt but looking at the revision number I think I've got a dodgy one :(

Can't install it yet, as the last time I tried my psu and mobo went to the hardware graveyard (see my earlier post) but when I do I don't think I'll overclock it at all, as I don't wanna invalidate my warranty if there's a fair chance it's gonna die.

Someone told me that EVGA are the only manufacturer that allow a 3rd party cooler to be fitted and leave your warranty intact. Anyone know if this is true (and whether its definately here, the UK and not just the States)?

I've bought a Zalman VF-700-LED but again, don't wanna invalidate the warranty.

They only die within the first few days of use - either they die in <1 week, or they live forever, OC'ing or not. :)

As for the warranty, they won't know the difference. Run the card for a couple of weeks with the stock cooler, to get some dirt onto it, and you're set. :thumb:

    Godammit.

They're still out of stock. But they did drop the price further. I'm cancelling my order, and will reorder when it's back. Looks like my X1900XT just got cheaper, and an even better deal. If only it was in stock.

Seems like a way better deal than the GT. Time to return it and get back to using my 6800.

    SUPERSWEET!

I can get a X1900XTX for $270 CAD. Or a Crossfire mastercard for the same.

Looks like 7900GT got knocked out of the picture. Too bad it's also out of stock.

Well it's been over 90F during past few weeks here in my room, even more sometimes. Such heatwave in NY and I have no AC...

I think if the room temperature would be around 60-70F maybe it would run cooller.

Wait a minute, are you sure you posted the right temps in the other one? Now you're in 'F - did you mean 'F in the other one too? In which case, you've got temps that are a bit more sane. :p
