Hi guys my mate has an ati x1900xt 512mb pci-e but has been offered a nvidia 9800gtx 512mb, he just want to know if there is much difference between the two cards, thanks take care
9800gt would be a lot better than x1900xt, my neighbour used to own one at the same that i had an 8800gt and to say that my 8800gt owned his 1900 was an understatement
I upgraded from an X1950XT 256mb (more or less the same as the x1900xtx) to an 8800GTX, and the difference was night and day, up to 2x the performance in some games. In saying that, the X1900XT is still a good card for its age lol. I regularly check ebay for old DX9 cards as they can sell quite cheap, eg a 7900GTX for £10 is a bargain.
Cheers lenny, he will most likely throw his x1900xt onto the bay, see what he gets for it...to be honest im not sure if his is a 256 model or 512...but i think its 512 will check later thanks matey take care
