I got a XBOX 360 Controller for Windows but i'm finding trouble on it usage as there are similar buttons , example there are 3 moving around keys , does anyone knows why there are 3 different types of buttons to move up , down , right and left. Also when change the controls it says X Axis Y Axis for almost all the buttons. Also what are the best settings for Controller while playing games and which kind of games suits better.

    Any help would be appreciated

any game with a gamesforwindows badge has built in support for the 360 controller.

the 'axis' buttons are analog buttons. x-axis means left and right, y-axis means up and down. i believe the triggers are recognised as z-axis. there are 3 different 'moving around keys' because those keys are useful, and can be used for many things other than moving around.

    It goes:

A, B, X, Y, LB, RB, Back, Start, Left Stick, Right Stick - Buttons 1 to 10 repectively.

Triggers - Z Axis (Left is +, right is -)

    D-pad - POV hat

    Left Thumbstick - X and Y axis

    Right Thumbstick - X and Y rotation
