ok this is a really random idea for a modd but i was wondering if its even possible..ok heres my idea..the other night me and one of my friends were playin gears of war, i was just messin around and everytime my friend would shoot his gun i would turn on my strobe light that i have behind my tv...it was so freaking cool lookin it actually felt like the machine gun was being fired..So here's my question, is it possible to somehow intercept the right trigger signal and have it trigger a switch whenever its pressed to turn on and off power to my strobe light? If anyone has any comments or ideas or any useful info (such as hardware suggestions, what kind of signals the controller operates on, etc.) that could help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Easily done, make it intercept the voltage to the rumble feedback.

its actually pretty easy, i can think of it in my head, using a separate trigger inside the controller, or intercepting the signal to the rumble pack as said above, lol.

    btw, is your name seth?

you could, use a one of those things that pick up sound and transmit it to the power or w/e and run yuor strobbe light threw that. so then grenades and other "load" noises will react to it.
good idead, and yea is you name seth+ are your form Virginia ?

intercept the voltage from the rumble, send it to a wireless transmitter (and locate the Tx under the controller?), have a receiver accept the transmitted message, and then have a relay flip the light on and off

it would only work when the controller vibrates, but doesn't it vibrate every time you pull the trigger?

i guess you could go off the trigger pull, but i would think that would be harder b/c you're going from a (assumed) small voltage signal instead of a normal voltage to the 'rumbler'

i dont think it vibrates for every gun...im trying to create the affect of a gun being fired with the flash of the strobe...only way i could think of doing that is to go off the right trigger
