So after having everything working fine for a few days, my xbox decides it doesn't want to connect to my pc and thusly to live.

I've tried all manner of restarts and resets, different cables and suchlike, but still no joy, the error given when I check the PC connection is 'cannot obtain IP from the router/modem'

although it was able to do so a few hours ago, and I've changed nothing.

anyone else had to deal with this?

Also, I feel i should add I've spent far too long messing about with static ip's and changing the secondary mac address etc.

    I'm all out of ideas.

hmm, im no 360 expert but maybe your problem is router based? are you trying to connect wirelessly? have you added any other computers or devices that use the router since it was working?

I've changed nothing. it's wired to my pc which is wireless to the router.

I've also narrowed it down to the fact that my network card decided to forget all of its IP data and now won't detect anymore, so I'll take it to tech support.

    Thanks anyway. :)
