My current sub says the next payment for ultimate will be 14.99 - is this the current price and that will then go up to £22 the following month? I'vee never actually paid via the sub so don't know what the current rates are! upload_2025-10-8_22-30-34.png

    Damn.

See, that just wouldn't work for me. I paid about that for CP Ultimate and that's lasted me a good six months+ which would be about £130/140 in subs.

I'm amazed there are players out there who would get value from a sub system (even if they aren't as extreme as me) or am I missing something?

Maybe I am, I hear some people have more than one game on the go at a time. The horror!

It's actually accurate to say people notice something more when you take it away, rather than when they have it.

So I'd wager the bulk of subscribers are longer term, who continue through either habit or fear of missing out, especially when, as I outlined above, you can actually get Ultimate for about £7ish/mth if you work the system.

Sadly, I fall into that category, but seven quid is fine for me at the moment.

I told the guy i work with today about the price hike as his son has it but hadnt seen the email, so i think ive caused a young kind to loose access to it , ive had a poup on my pc every day this week about game pass do i want to join !!!

There was a news artical about Amazon Us and how hard it was to cancel a sub that they have been fined..

My mates dad eneded up with 3 prime subs going as he kept doing trails not realising it then auto took payment.

I get soo many emails about trying to change my sub to a family account. Im the only user.

We've had Prime trials but I always found opting out before being charged pretty easy. IIRC there's a bit of chasing about the:
    Cancel?
    Are you sure?
    Are you sure you're sure?
Look at this, you want it?
    You still want to cancel?
    Ok.

I've found Apple has been the most straightforward to cancel.
