Now im not sure if this is the right forum to put it in but ahh it can be moved Im going to start modding my xbox... now im just wondering on a couple of bits and peices. I want to swap the fan at the back which i assume is 80mm with a 80mm clear fan with 4 leds. Anyone had any problems doing anything like this? Also are there molex leads inside with it being a microsoft product... inwhich case i can run neons off of this? just need some input on this one guys.....
The fan at the back is nowhere near 80mm. I think its a 60mm. You can upgrade it to an 80mm fan. There are molex leads inside. Hell, why don't you open it up and take a look. That'll answer 99.9% of your questions.
being more or less brand new i dont wanna ruin the warranty only to find i cant do any of the mods i intend.. so i have a modless and warranty less xbox on my hands cheers for letting me know about the molex's thou!
The fan at the back is 70mm, check xboxscene for a mod guide to uprate it to an 80mm. You can run a molex splitter and a neon no problem, I have neon string in mine.
