    Is there a way i can replace my xbox (classic) 240 psu with a 12V psu?
    I have my old one doing nothing and thought i may install it in my car.

    There is a chance, it's a standard (just cut down) AT/ATX PSU (dependant on your version)

    Get a multimeter, a screwdriver and have a look through the PSU connections and see. :)

    For the 1.1 and 1.0 (IIRC 1.2 went ATX) just look for 12V AT PSUs. Or convert summint like a pico psu to AT.

    You can use a 1.2+ psu on a 1.0-1.1 xbox. I have the link around somewhere but can't find it at the moment but I am sure if you google it you can find it. For $150 though I am sure you can come up with something a lot better though. Also those picopsu's need a regulated 12V input but the pwu200 unit can be used in car and is your best bet.

    Unfortunatly im stuck with the only availabe psu being from pcs.
    I can get a car psu for the xbox.

    Hmn Where do i find L78L33AC 3.3v regulators in the uk?
    Are they on psu's?

    Pop to your local maplins, the link to the regulator from the forum only needs 150ma, they'll cost pennies from maplin.

    Just ask for a 3.3V regulator with 150ma output.
