Anyone looked into this? Ive seen some alternative skins but wondered if anyone had done anything custom around here?
Some images from different console mods: http://metku.net/modgallery/mods.php?area=6 Also the CombiCable mod: http://www.metku.net/index.html?sect=view&n=1&path=mods/xbox_cc/index_eng
Just figured I'd put in my two pence here. All the xbox modding sites I've found so far, only give you a guide on how to change the color on one of the two front status LED's. The cable bounch I'm reffering to is the small yellow one that goes from the front pannel, and down onto the xbox's mobo. Pin 1 is indicated by a very small arrow, but it's easy to tell anyway, as the hole for pin 10 doesn't have a wire going into it. Using a multimeter, I've figured out that if you swtich 5 and 6 arround, the LED on the left will change from red to green. When you switch 7 and 8 you change the LED on the right.
Yep Malfoleo i saw that one on Xbox Scene a while ago, still need to replace the leds with blue ones though
I do love those jewels apoogod I assume they are just plexi etched or similar as I was thinking of making my own. There are some very well done paint jobs on Xbox scene site there I must say. I have been thinking of doing an XBOX mod myself actually but I want it to be something more special than just a simple paint job/CCFL/LED's *looks to G-Gnome for inspiration*
I'd like to put an EL light under the jewel on mine, maybe even have it pulse with hard drive usage... I probably will never do it though. I love that imperial jewel too apoogod.
tx guy....thell be up on the site again when its done....Jazz you could allways put a CCFL under the jewel....works great to light the jewels up, thou not sure how you would get it to flash
Yeah, I thought of that... I was just thinking that EL would give a bit more of an even glow.... I probably won't do it though.
Ive cut windows into my xbox and painted it with flames. Gonna add lighting soon and have done mods to the front light things. Look at my gallery at xbox-source.net to see it (I didnt wanna waste my limited bandwith)
I've noticed the X-box doesn't like more then 128 meg of RAM. I guess it runs out of adresses. It also only likes Celeron processors. Or, it likes them better. I found the USB bus to be flakey, but between USB, my drivers, and Microsoft, it didn't stand a chance.
