Hoping someone can direct me to the best place to get an official xbox one controller as cheap as possible. Cheers
Got mine from Amazon. They are pretty much the same price everywhere. No difference between console version and PC version unless you require the battery. They use a standard USB connection so the 'official' cable is not required.
As far as I can tell all Xbox One controllers are wireless, they have a micro-USB port on them that can be used to make them wired. They're also compatible with PC, plug & play. As for the cheapest place, really not sure. Probably Amazon.
Sorry, my understanding was that they were different, my bad I also thought that the PC didn't have drivers/support wireless (yet), or am I wrong there too?
I wasn't sure on that, never used a wireless one (can't stand wireless controllers). I know the 360 controllers had a wireless adapter, but I always had wired ones anyway. My Xbox One controller works fine plugged into my PC with a USB cable.
xbox one controller works with windows - http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/accessories/controller-pc-compatibility
If you read the thread you'll see that the fact it works on PC is already covered. Hence there being a PC version.
Not in stock at the moment but I got one from here about a week ago: http://www.thegamecollection.net/microsoft-xbox-one-wireless-controller-xbox-one.html - £29.95
That's a bloody good price, no surprise they are out of stock though. I got the blue camo from Amazon when it was £45.
