If there was a way then your pc would not be able to run it. I also think that what you're trying to do is illegal. Unless you have a legal copy forza 4 lying around, which i doubt... /inb4thelock
Insofar as I remember emulation is ok, provided you have a license for the BIOS the emulator is using (or at least that is how PSX emulators were described to me last I looked into it). This is how sites can still legally offer emulators for various consoles: no BIOS (you have to either rip or source your own). Obviously you would also need to won a legal copy of the game as well.
Don't think there are any. Doubt it would be legal to get ask here anyway. Just get shift 2 pretty much the same.
As a SNES and N64 emulation fan, my understanding is that it is illegal to emulate any current-gen console games, and you should be the legal owner of any older games you are emulating. So on that basis - I'm legal. But the 360 would not be.
in short: no longer: I doubt there is a computer that could run a 360 emulator, whatever you're running an emulator on needs to be several magnitudes more powerful than the thing it is emulating, and that sort of PC power just isn't really around. (f.e a ps2 emulator needs a decent quadcore + 4gb of ram to run smoothly) as for the legality: as I understand it, as long as you legally own the game and can legally source the bios (by ripping it from a console and transferring it to your PC somehow) then it is legal. also: you can probably get an old-style 360 off ebay pretty damned cheap now.
quick random thing, one of the dead island releases was actully a xbox dev kit, which was partly why it was so dodgy
Shift 2 is no way near the same, yea you race cars.. end of simularity. Windows 8? what do you know!? share!
I loved forza 3. But I played the forza 4 demo and I felt like I had gone back in time! The reason for this is that in between the two I have been playing nfs shift 2. The graphics are amazing when maxed, and it has totally ruined forza 4 for me because nothing feels quite as good or real as nfs shift 2 now!
There's a lot of rumors flying around saying that Windows 8 will allow users to play Xbox 360 games. Not sure if that's been confirmed yet or not, but I figure the rumor's been picked up by so many larger gaming sites that it's likely true.
I think all they're doing is tying Windows live and xbox live gamertags a bit more than they do now, tbh. I don't really expect emulation of a 360 to be any good for the next few years tbh. It would be good I'd they did do it, I just don't think they can or will.
Its not true, it was an error message that was misinterpreted by a media that simply copy and pastes stories from each other without much in the way of research. Its actually just "Live" thats being integrated into win8, no sort of emulation. Which is a shame, and would actually make viable almost from a business perspective as MS makes most of their console money on the software but there would be major, major QOS issues. Posted from someone who is running Windows 8 on 3 machines.
Windows 8 will supposedly support 360 games. I've heard this statement flying around and a games developer on another forum said that it is most likely true. He isn't fully sure but it won't be surprising if it is the case.
