I'd be excited if it said "in development for PC". However the 360 mention tells me to wait and see. I can't help feel it will be more of the same. I feel gaming creativity has stalled due to 5 year old consoles and the limited functionality of a gamepad.... which just reminded me of the awesome simulation type games back in the 90s we don't see anymore that required a keyboard, mouse and sometimes joystick. IMHO its past time that we see another leap in gaming physics, gameplay and graphics. This will only be accomplished by an exclusive PC game developed for todays PC gaming hardware.
They tried developing an X-Com FPS a long time ago and they canned it, shame because the screen shots I saw of it did look pretty good (allowing for the time it was made). But hey, if they do go ahead with this and it does get finished I'll definitely give it a go as I still love playing X-Com, I'm currently running a game just now - god bless Steam.
X-com has already been a shooter. X-Com: Enforcer TPS not FPS though. Like a mix between Serious Sam and mech warrior OK'ish Hope the FPS is done with style.
making a FPS from a strategy game and trying to keep the same "identity" is like trying to make a movie out of the Street Fight franchise IT DOESN'T WORK. DON'T BOTHER TRYING
