    I see what you mean about the file size which is going to take up megga bandwidth even for a site like bit-tech. I think a reasonably high quality JPEG would be just as good, it just depends how you optermise the image sometimes you do this then someone else does it slightly differently and they can get a better picture with the same or even less file size.
