    is this card any good as the price drop is great.
    runs to hot or problems with games?

    or wait for the r290.

    No problems at all, will butcher a 290.

    23c cooler than a 290x, 15-30% faster, uses 50w more at load.

    It's a complete no brainer really, especially with the new frame pacing drivers.

    Not 100% sure bit i think all 7990's are refernce so all the same with different stickers on them

    I think this card is overkill @ 1080p.

    but will play anything I throw at It for years.

    They're all the same apart from two or three models released unofficially before the AMD launch (Devil 13 rings a bell...)

    crap they have put up the price. £479

    the NVidia 780 have had a price cut mite go for that £408
