Sup everybody! So I finished building PC for a friend using “utgard tower case”, Once I was finished with it I send it back to him using FedEx for shipping & handling service. He said he was taking shower as he heard loud racket noise coming up stairs. It appeared to be a FedEx female driver rolling PC box up the stairs even though it had a fragile label on it!!! As he opened the box he heard loud swooshes sound and sure enough PC tower was broken. Terrible service from FedEx! Anyway by looking at pictures below is it possible to replace just the top panel on case? And if so where? ring fedex to complain its not a hevy item so it should not have been rolled etc You should get a new case out of it. wheb the replacement arrives check it before they leave
Yeah, i did. It's in the process. They are going to have guy come over tomorrow and take pictures. Which is stupid because I have pictures if they need prove. Yeah my first FedEx bad experience and most likely last. Anyway are you saying there is no way to replace top panel part in the case as shown in pictures above? The only way to do it is to replace the whole f case? I hope there is a way around it. If there is someone please tell me. I put so much time and effort in his build.
You could ask Xigmatec if they would sell you a new top panel but i have my doubts... most likely Fedex will have to sort you out with a new case or money to cover one.
Pwn FedEx for full value of the system if I was you - that's what you pay them for. If this was a system builder, that's what they'd do. You shipped it working, with a fragile sticker, and they clearly knocked it about. Insurance companies are there for a reason!
That is just shocking negligence on FedEx's part... I would definitely give the entire system a thorough check to make sure it's not just the case that's damaged.
Get this FedEx came out (same female driver by the way), but she didn't have a camera! She was told to pick up PC for inspection. I told my friend noway - they can't be trusted so no deal, she needs to come back with camera and get her priorities straight! I'll keep you guys posted if anything changes.
Doesn't surprise me. Bought a case a while back off a friend, and it arrived in pretty bad shape, little worse than yours Eventually got £50 compensation, was worth more, but ah well, after a couple of months, I didn't wanna start over.... Get them for everything you can.
