Im not that fused about it then. Just found this great website. Shows how to install the fan but i must admit that looks like a tight fit. Anyone used one in a Antec 902 case and on a MSI P55-GD65? (we can hope) Im thinking about putting one blub on the centre of the CPU about the size of a bean then placing the HSF straight on top and praying that will work. If it doesnt then my system will overheat how will i be able to check this on my first run? Just go into the bios then where? EDIT - Looking to order quite a bit of Scan and just wondering what you guys think of the Scansure. It looks like a good offer, only issue is they dont tell you how much it will cost. So is it worth it?
Go right through, as if you were about to buy it and, correct me if I'm wrong, I think it says how much it adds to the final cost. Good luck with the TIM. Building my PC on xmas day, my first ever build
Thanks for the help i tryed it and it worked. I only added the i5 and the titan fenrir and the Scansure was £5 not to bad imo. Hopefully the TIM isnt too bad i found this video and it seems to be quite easy by the looks of that. Yes same mate i havent built one before but theres a first time for everything and xmas day will be mine. Hopefully theres some people on the forums on xmas day incase i found any problems
just thought of another question for you guys. what would be the best way to connect my pc to my tv? my tv has a HDMI port and i think the graphics card does aswell so is that the best and quickest way to connect them? thanks for all the help guys rep will be given
There is really only 1 TIM to consider: ArticCooling Silver 5, otherwise if u end up not wanting to overclock it doesn't matter what u use. As to TIM application I use the rice grain method and a thin layer of cyran wrap (that kitchen plastic roll stuff) over my index finger works very well and you dont need to go out and buy gloves.
im going to be making my order tomorrow mainly from scan. after looking at AC Silver 5 its only £5 so im going to get some tomorrow as it seems everyone uses it.
i went from the titan TIM (royal grease for some reason) to MX3 and got a noticeable difference (ie 3-4 degrees). i would recommend MX3 over anything else.
Just to let you guys know i made my order tonight. Sadly Scan dont have the Titan Fenrir in stock at the minute so i have that on order with them, hopefully i get it next week. I also took the scansure for all my components only costing me £15 which i dont mind paying for peace of mind. Thanks again for the help given
