Modding Xoxide CCFLs Come w/ Defective wiring

    OK guys, i had bought some CCFLs from Xoxide when they were cheap, but i must warn you all about something.

    They come with 2 diff power leads, on has spade terminals for your own switch i presume, but the other is like a backplate for your case, and has a switch built in, except the polarity on the backplate switch one is backward. When i hooked mine up, it resulted in a popped cap, and the plastic casing flying around the room. I wasn't real happy, trying to talk/email them now.

    I would be getting my money back. Whoever designed that so poorly should be slapped. :nono:

    yup, the lead on the left is wired backward...email them and just ask for a new inverter, thats all you need.

    It was tomacco actually :D

    But yes, i emailed them basically asking for a new inverter, and if i don't have to send my blown one back, i'm gonna try gettin a new cap and see if it still works, even though i now have 3 dual ready inverters and 4 tubes =P
