    Hey everyone
I've had XP Pro (32bit) SP3 on my computer for quite some time, same hardware configuration and this past couple months, XP has been freezing on shutdown, or takes an incredibly long time. Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it? I googled the issue and it seems the resources I find deal with issues Pre-SP1. I've just reformatted with a proper format and then a clean install of Windows XP and a clean download of software. the hardware for my computer is in my sig. Thanks

I had an issue recently with a screensaver installed that did a very similar thing to the shutdown process..removed it and all is well
