Just installed SP2 on two machines without a hitch...

Just had a quick play and found some features I like a lot!

No longer get annoyed browsing sites which have loads of pop up to plague me... They've gone!!!

And I don't have to worry about accidently changing my homepage to searching.net

And even browsing some very dodgy sites, I haven't been bothered yet with "software required to view the web page"!!!

I like it too, it's a shame they didn't make it part of Xp originally, but hey, it looks like they've done a good job.
The only thing I didn't like was that it moans about not having automatic updates turned on, and it couldn't find my antivirus software, so it complained. You would have thought Microsoft would have made it compatable with AVG, rather then (I'm assuming) just Norton's / Mcafee.

yeah, the wirless support is good too now. Much improved.

although the auto-detect of virus software does work with norton, anything below 2003 is found but not implemented. Above 2003 is implemented. I dont know about Mcafee

    Yep, works with McAfee.

If you don't like the icon in the notification area, open the security centre and click recommendations. There's a tickbox at the bottom to turn off the warning.

I figured that one out already, but still it was annoying enough the 1st two times that I saw it. Thanks for the info anyway, though.

I believe MS have said that the AV companies would need to add a few extra lines of code for SP2 to pick up.

me32dc, how is wireless improved?? My wireless doesn't seem to update connection statuses very well (ICS and so on) so hopefully this is better lol.
So is it all running stable? I might have a look at it, will give me something to download while I'm revising hehe
