I have dual boot XP and Vista 32bit but due to problems with games and nvidia drivers my XP build is the only one seeing the light of day.

Think I'm going the same way. Tried BF2142 last night and was as jerky as hell. Really annoying. Which has pee'ed me off considering i'm running a AMD 4400+, 2 gig of ram and a 7900 GTO on a 10 mg internet connection.

I think the over head of vista is just getting in the way. But going to see if the problem was in the network layer on the machine. Any one know anything about the QOS in Vista ?

64-bit Vista Ultimate edition (OEM FYIW). I switched from XP as I wanted to get in early and get used to the O/S. I jumped on the XP bandwagon a few years in...

    Vista 32bit Ultimate, OEM.
Gameplay seems pretty pants, having 2GB is like 1GB was on XP. Certain games feel laggy, and some will not run at all. Otherwise its a very nice OS.
I'll be installing XP again when I've got a spare few hours though.

hi there, i have got vista ultimate 32 bit as an OEM package and have installed without any problems, although a recent problem which isnt really the issue requires me to reformat my harddisk and install vista again. what is the deal with the product activation and the product key then? will i still be able to activate windows successfully, it is still all the same hardware as before windows just needs reinstalling. Please let me know if the product key wil still be valid and if the activation process will still work even though it has already activated once. Many Thanks

You can activate + reinstall on the same hardware as many times as you want.
