i have recently bought an 700/710 XPS case which im going to convert to atx, however, i have a question, and would like for your opinions or suggestions. I most likely will end up selling the case fully loaded thats why i am unsure. Im customizing it to be far greater than the 720 H2C current XPS, by puting a 790i board, gtx 280s (2) and full watter cooling, (videocards,processor,N/S chips, voltage regs?ram, and try to fit two 2 120mm radiators which i found spots for already, but the main question i have, Should i go out of my way to make the leds better than the 720 H2C, meaning, buying a $37 dollar plus shipping usb controller to mod as an led controller and then program an app and make a plug-in but not only change the color of the led's byh app, but being apple to have each (8) front led controlled differently and each of them a different color simutanious and the endless options. beleive it or not, people actually care about having the front led's flash to the music and can make the differece between him/her buying or not. or even that extra $500 USD there willing to pay, can you give me some feed back?
I would go for it. The little things can make something amazing imo. It'll set it apart from the rest. Make sure you put a project log on here.
I think it depends on the crowd you are going to sell it to, but if you're going for the OMG THATS SOO COOL LOOOOL!!!1 group of relatively uneducated computer users I think you could charge quite a bit more for the case if you advertise it has a CUSTOM x# LED lighting system, jazz it up and make it seem worth a extra $150.
