Motors ye ole' got-a-new-car thread

This definitely isn't as good as most of the cars I've seen in these threads, but I just got a 2003 Mazda 6 with the "sports package".

Considering that this is an upgrade from a 93 Oldsmobile cutlass cierra, I am very very very happy about this vehicle.

This is the first car I've owned that has traction control to keep it from spinning the tires when starting off. (which can of course be disabled )

I've heard these things don't have many performance upgrades readily available for them though, anyone have experience with getting more out of these cars?

For an uprgade from the Olds, i don't think you've put enough "verys" in there - there should be a few dozen more.

The 6 is an underated car by many, but it is one of the best in it's class any were in the world and highly regarded in the motor trade.

 

The Mazda 6 is a great car from what I've heard/read, plus it looks pretty hot.

You don't have the MX-6 but there's 32,000 members most of which are very knowledgeable about Mazdas, and there is a Mazda6 subforum. You could probably find some performance upgrades there. Not that you would need them to wipe the floor with ricers...
