I have a bloody nice Antec Fusion 430 Silver faceplate case inc. BluRay that is just too good to get rid of. I need a uATX board configuration so what do you guys suggest?

I'd like a nice quiet system to sit idle under the TV but I'd like it to be fully functional. So a nice quiet powerful GPU is a must.

I'm not afraid of modding the case.

I'm open as to the budget. I'd favour an Intel/Nvidia config but if you would like to convince me otherwise, I'm not going to dismiss any good practical suggestion.

Thanking you all in advance for any assistance :thumb:

Was thinking the same, they're just starting! I'll be building a few for family soon enough, people see how awesome they are when they come round to mine

You should also remember that- that case supports MATX boards, and that's your best option as a good UATX board is rarely available.
If you get a decent Sandy Bridge setup, the onboard GPU from that will be fine! Here's a basket I put together: http://www.scan.co.uk/savedbasket/743a7546db08467497beb1a26d3656c2

The dead thing was coming from media players that are becoming really popular and cheaper. However, that Sandybridge looks just right.

I had a system with a passive 8600GT which worked really well and silent but could also handle games. Any ideas if I was to throw in a GPU?

Well, you'll want a single slot GPU to save space I take it, and something capable but not too powerful to save on heat and power?
    Here's a great option:

what OS? If your running something Like XBMC live (or any Linux based HTPC distro), then your best bet is a Nvidia GPU w/ the binary blob, if its windows (and i just realized u mentioned gaming so im guessing it may well be) then i defer to people smarter than myself.

Depends what you'll be playing. You say it will be at lower resolutions, which means you won't be taxing the card very much, so the fan speed will stay low. :)
