I admit it wasn't what I thought. I got the number but interpreted it wrong, now I know what to expect.
onto page 4 now, im crap at word puzzles though. I see some blatant typos on there, obviously done on purpose, but dont know how to interpret them
thats exactly what im stuck on theogeo. iv got a A4 page full of random scribles tryin to work it out. but I still can't make out what it wants from me.
I can't even see a date on the page? Also does the name being the-stapler backwards have anything to do with a question?
read the thread its already been said its not a date. and no. if anyone wants to give a ambiguos hint as to what im meant to be doin in 4 i would be happy. but dont make it blatent i still want to do most of the work
I have tried numbers for dates. And I have tried it backwards seeing the site has some big backwards theme.
You need to find what is missing... Tibby: When it clicks, you'll hit yourself - all the earlier hints seem obvious once you solve it.
ok so i know its to do with the typos, this is made clear with the link he makes back to page two. on page two it says he always has perfect grammer / spelling so these are the words that are spelt wrong- shal = shall yoo = you hiden = hidden qit= quit **** = soon so that gives me the letters L, U, D, U, S. iv tryed entering them in a number of differnt ways and get nothing. what am i missing? oh and iv tryed entering the words above in all possible combiantions as well all good now i got it cheers for the hints
To those who are stuck on page 1: type out the numbers with no spaces, trust me, you'll see it. On page 5: Spoiler Yes it's an MD5 hash. As for which words you need to encrypt: where are you in the puzzle? That should help. On page 10: Spoiler Look at it this way: 1xyz. So for each equation, don't look at it as an equation, look at it as a block of numbers. Also, the dash in the middle is a hyphen; not a subtraction sign. So, for the first block, it would be 1 + 7 = x, x - 7 = y, y + 6 = z. Now take that and do the same thing for the other one, and see if it doesn't click. Glad to see you're all enjoying it. See you on page 12 EDIT: Oh, mattt, and anyone else on page 6: Spoiler Look at the typo letters as a word. Your hint is, it's in a different language. Now take a wild guess as to which, translate it, and be on your way
How I got it: He says cryptic, so I went back and re-read the page. Quake, models, directory. The original Quake model directory were compressed as .mdl files. Thought about it, flipped that to MD5, started reading for something to encrypt until something popped out
any chance of some more clues for 4? i understand that you need to get the missing letters but that doesnt seem to work. they dont rearange into anything and simply entering them in the address bar does nothing....
