I know pretty well what it means as German is my mother tongue and i`ve been living 23 years near Frankfurt before coming to Finland.

 

Then you should know that saying "Hail Victory" (basicly) is only really going to be offensive within Germany where it still has connotations, or if people are being overly sensitive.
