Ok guys you got me that is I think I have got addicted to this thing. By trying to research some of my ideas and what I will need to get them to work.
Well I ended up on that I will need way more knowledge than I have.
What I am looking at now is a microcontroller technology.
What I need to do is to make custom touch sensors with layout of my preference.
Dose any one has an idea how to do that?
My idea is to make a part as a second keyboard type.
It should work just like a buttons on microwave.
I understand that it is tuff you need to build a driver for it and stuff but I’m interested in the process how surface is catching a press.
    Any ideas guys?
    Any comments and recommendations welcome.

So you want to build a keyboard? Why notjust take apart an existing keyboard, and use the controller? Then all you need is to design your own layout of the wires crossing underneeth whatever you want to push.

Also if the surface is plastic covered, then underneth there is still some very flat wires, that are being crossed, when pushed.
But since the wires are only seperated by a very thin sheet of plastic film, you hardly notice the surface moving when you push it.
