They might do well with the people they have with the technology we have now but when the tablet and mobile phone are no more and we have new technology I think apple will struggle. When I say struggle I mean be the first to jump a curve and innovate our current tech like the iPad etc. So what I mean by the title is; even if you don't like apples products you have to love how they raise standards so you now have other good non apple tablets you love!
It's very annoying to hear loyal apple fans talk though. They get ripped off (price wise) but swear apple products are the best thing in the world. I personally can't stand Apple. And I'm on a MacBook Air right now. And the ONLY reason I have this is because of its weight and battery life. I take it to university with me everyday.
I respect what they did with the iPhone because they definitely were the first to make a 'real' smartphone. Other than that, meh ... Everytime I try one of their product I feel like smashing it into a wall. This even includes the latest iPad i bought for my mom
So you can't stand Apple (nor its 'loyal fans'), you argue that people who buy Apple products are getting ripped off, and extend that to suggest that Apple products are inferior for the price people pay. Smartphone wars are over deal with it. Could also say tablet wars were over before they began apple stole all the sales before people asked what they would use one for. Samsung Apple won by a landslide. Profit to both is just insane never though I'd see the day 2 tech companies make 30bil+ profit a year. In apples case more so insane they hold under 20% of smartphone market. It's not even andriod vs iOS anymore its just Samsung vs apple rest are bit part players in a race for survival making 0 money or loosing huge numbers. One of Nokia rim htc will go bankrupt this year that's a nearly a guarentee. And they both even now make there own CPUs for there 2 most profitable products. Tegra4 has come too late to the party as I dou't a Samsung phone or tablet will use it. Think Qualcomm will also struggle this year to get any real orders for there products. Just wish I had shares in both before iphone and Samsung galaxy launch as I'd be rich.
Epic contradiction! Without Apple and their products, the world and the technology in it would be far behind the level of advancement that we have now. Let's face it, there's a good chance that had the iPhone not come along in 2007, we might not have the touch screen smartphones that we have now. Android might not have been developed as much by now, and Microsoft may not have cared about making their latest OS for 2012 so touch friendly. They have pushed the personal computer and portable electronic device markets forward faster than any other company in the past 5-6 years, and they have my respect for that alone, never mind the many other reasons I'm not a flat out Apple hater. You have to use Apple products (and have a need and use for them, not just own them for the sake of it) to appreciate them fully, and I use a couple of them every day and have grown completely dependant on them. For example, if you took my iPhone off me in the morning before I went to work, there would be no point in me even going to work. My level of organisation and productivity would go through the floor. It's impossible to watch an autistic 6 or 7 year old child playing and learning with an (extremely well protected!) iPad, or see a physically disabled adult with mental health issues using an iMac and iPad mini as well as you or I could, without appreciating the difference that Apple have made in the world. All this "Apple vs Everyone else" rubbish is so uncalled for and such an enormous waste of time and effort. The cup is half full, not half empty.

I am an apple product owner i have an iPad 2 and an iPhone 4 The biggest thing that annoys me with Apple fanboys is trying to justify the dramatic increase in price compared to an alternative with clearly better specs. If you say to me "I just really like macs" fair play atleast you're being honest don't say "ITS FASTER AND ITS MORE FOR ARTISTS" no... just no... my friend tried to justify a mac because its better for artists... yet all he wanted was photoshop on it.
Just like sunrise, sunset, Godwin's law and our own mortality, one thing can ultimately be guaranteed when starting/contributing to an Apple thread: FLAMES. It's boring. I wish it weren't so, but it is, so it's boring. Apple make great, high-end products and lots of people buy into that. Good for them! Others prefer to go down a different route, but we all ultimately achieve the same things whichever ecosystem we adopt. Arguing the merits of one over the other is like arguing between the the merits of plaice versus sole. They are both two slightly different versions of the same thing, but ultimately both enjoyable with the correct preparation.
I give Apple 8 years, their limits to re-invent a product every year. Steve gave them a swing but sooner or later that swing will slow (It already begun).
They have 100bill+ in the bank. Even if they made 0 for the next 10 years they would still not be struggling. They could simply buy the next big thing that's the advantage they and Samsung hold due to both having large cash stockpiles. Look at the other phone makers Htc made 30mil profit ( can't innovate on that profit level) Rim lost aprox 800million dollars last year. They have cash for a year max at that level and have already began massive layoffs. Sony loses are even bigger not due to phone devision but its still 1 company ( they will have to rescue Panasonic this year) Nokia without microsofts money would already be filling bankruptcy. And that is it for major players who consumers would care for.( you could argue google but they sell that phone at cost so its hardly profitable) If the monopoly board would allow it apple and Samsung could each buy all those companies and still have alot of cash on hand. Intel in the CPU market has shown the advantage of the dominant profit. AMD are struggling badly. Samsung and Apple have got the cash rich smartphone market tied up. Most people i know consider it a straight choice between an iphone or Samsung galaxy.( I own both one is work one is personal) Rim htc Nokia are in a fight for survival. Sony would be also but the Japan government will never let them go broke. In the current market all 3 may fall. Htc just 1 year ago were making close to 1bil profit you have to ask if I was a share holder wtf happened.
