    Because they can?? and for the reason that electricity is cheaper during the night hence why suppermarkets keep their lights on.

    You see, you cant just shut down a power station over night when everyone has gone to bed. They keep going, producing the same electrcity they do during the day and what happens at night??? it gets wasted as they can only store so much of it and nobodys using it all up over night and is why its cheaper so they can get some money back for wasted energy.

    Pfft, short term solutions. It'd work as a forward base but a semi-permanent place of refuge? Never been.

    Could be because they work all night. At least, that's what my local (Honda) shop does. They need more capacity, but it's more efficient to use what they have 24/7 than to build another place. Plus it means long-ish repairs can be done overnight instead of streching into several days, which is convenient for the customers.

    Hm, I think my zombie preparation plans are sorely lacking... I need to work on that.
