I read to the end of that passage thinking you were talking about a daughter and not a horse. :D :duh:

My beloved Corrado G60 tops mine, squeezing a nippy 220bhp through those front wheels, the best drive of my life - even vs. other cars I have driven such as an Audi R8, F430 scuderia, Scooby P1

My Leatherman Wave. Bought it in 2001 and I use it so much. Everything from putting together PC hardware to making the odd bit of chainmaille. It's one of the older models with the non locking tools but that doesn't matter too much

Nice wheels. I always wanted one, drove a mate's VR6 years ago and loved it, but afaik the G60 is lighter and handles better so that would be my choice too.

My best purchase would have to be my Oakleys. Wear them at the first hint of sunshine (i.e. not at all this April :wallbash:)

Sadly I an't post a picture of my actual car but it's exactly the same make model and colour as this:

    My beloved E30 BMW 318IS.

The only difference is mine has the M sport rims, steering wheel, gear knob and Ricaro seats which were fitted as standard to some cars. I suspect the car in the image above has been lowered a bit too but I could be wrong. All in all a pretty rare car.

Purchased and saved from the scrap heap for £125. I have a real thing for E30s. A bloke tried to buy it off me 10 mins after I collected it while sitting in traffic.

This cutie, Max. "Bought" from a rescue centre where I worked. You're right, no ears - someone cut them off when he was a kitten :waah:

And my favourite car I ever owned - Volvo P1800. Went like **** off a shovel :D

I'd have to say my last car a Triumph Herald 1200 registered in 1969, though I didn't quite buy it, as it was given to me by the previous owner who happened to be my next door neighbor, because they where giving up driving and they knew I had converted her since they got it some ten years ago, it needed a lot of work doing to it though to get it in to a decent shape. But it was so worth it, sadly had to sell her when I got a job some 40 minute drive away and needed a car which would be able to get me there every day with out fail. I still miss its quirky habits.

My Kitchen for my flat which I renovated with my girlfriend.

Its just a really nice place to be, and it has all sorts of cool stuff in it.

Not bad being a homeowner at 24....

Probably my iPhones. Boring, and expensive, sure, but the thing has saved my arse on too many occasions to count. It does everything, it never complains or fails, or breaks down, or runs out of battery. I treat it well and it repays my attention by alerting me to every thing I need to know, do, or attend.

After that, I guess the possession I feel the most affection for is probably my MINI, for much the same reasons. It's reliable (if a bit overpriced), comfortable, sporty, fast - and it never fails to make me smile.

    Hmmm touch choice...

    Some gadget or other? Nah!
A vehicle? Nah!... although the VW Camper Van I had custom built in 2007 is a mighty fine vehicle so must come in at second place!

    So what wins?

Well being a two mum family, it's got to have been the Harley Street private fertility treatment.

Twins! The gift that keeps on giving

PS. Other than property and vehicles, also my most expensive purchase ever! And worth every penny :)

PPS. Things that didn't make the list: My first walkman, my first discman, my first video walkman, my North Face Mountain 24 tent, my first thermarest, My fatface purple boots, my first climbing harness, my first iPhone, my iPad 3, my DSLR... it's a long list and I could go on all day :)

Amiga 500 when I was 15. Got it from a catalogue and paid £12 a week for ages for it. It changed me. It even influenced the syle of music I listen to now.

Many hours of driving lessons and finally the test I passed.

The freedom that it gave me keeps giving and giving. Without it i'd have never met my ladyfriend, I wouldn't go airsofting and I most likely wouldn't be working where I am now (the trains used to be late on a regular basis).

Related is my old 1996 VW Polo - it was slow, but it got the job done without breaking. I almost miss it, just because of the reliability (1 headlamp replacement was all the repairs it needed between 60,000 miles and 118,000 miles)

My current car (Fiat Bravo T-Jet, 150bhp). Yes, it's given me toruble. But I still smile whenever i get to hoon it about.

My 2010 13" MBP (/me puts on flame-suit), hopefulyl to be replaced soon with either a new MBP 13" or a 13" MBA

Must admit that my best purchase recently is my old VW Golf Estate. MK3 2L estate which cost me the princely sum of £90. It came with tax and mot and has just had it's first mot with me and it only cost £60. Definitely a bargain.

That's presumably because they're not yet old enough to just take, take, take. Enjoy it while you can!
