    Went to the Isle of Skye a few weeks ago and it's damn beautiful up there. One of the papers listed the Isle of Skye as one of the top 10 most stunning places on Earth!

    Great shot, shame I didn't have time to take photos myself.

    Yeah, it's absolutely stunning up there. I've got many more photos to work through (they're worth a separate thread), and hope to get them up later tonight/tomorrow all being well.

    Skye and Glencoe are probably my favourite places in the UK... I wholeheartedly recommend visiting Skye, even if it is an 11 hour+ drive from London! The big plus is that you get to drive through Glencoe on your way!

    I love that one, the way you have made the structure look gigantic is brilliant!

    Thank's it took 20 mins to find the composition. Its a shame the master is 3488X2616@72dpi because it would make a good print.

    Thanks :) I took it on a compact which I could barely see the screen on (the summer sun gets pretty bright in NZ) so I was pretty excited to see how well it came out.

    I can't remember what it was called but it ran from Aber town centre all the way through the valleys and you got off near a waterfall.

    Yea, sounds like the railway(Admittedly we've only got one "Railway"). I live opposite it, I always get excited when someone mentions Aber. I've never got around to going on the railway the scenery up at Devils Falls is supposed to fantastic.

    Anyways, this is prob my favorite holiday pic;

    Very nice. Exif data?

    Completely forgot about this thread. Here's one from these last four months or so (Taken with Nikon D700 and 70-300 f4.5-5.6 VR);

    Ahh yes, of course:

    Nikon D40
    Exposure: 1/2 sec
    Focal Length: 18mm
    F-stop: f/4.5
    ISO-200

    Edited slightly in Photoshop. I have a real problem with noise in dark shots. Got really frustrating at times.

    I always stopped at Iso 800 with my D80. You can always apply noise reduction in post.
