Well i work in the local garden center to help fund my social life and my obsession with computers (i now have 8 of them in my room). And yes i love my job its not exactly glamorous and i don't plan on doing it for ever but i enjoy working with the people there and helping people
I'm an IT incident manager working with a major rail/bus operator stressful covers it quite nicely but it does have its good moments and pays the bills. I work to live, not live to work
Unemployed. I think it would interesting for all those that are currently unemployed to mention it, just to see how many of us are.
Chemistry student and British Army officer cadet. I bounce between enjoying one then the other, but never both at the same time. They're just too different to be in a mindset where one would enjoy them both at the same time.
My bad, I guess in my mind a job is something you have a contract for and are paid to do. Apart from volunteer work obviously. Carry on.
I work on Oil Rigs in the North Sea, doing nothing IT related. It pays the bills. Get plenty of time off to do as I please. It isn't something I love though.
Full-time student, which at the moment feels like a lot more effort than a proper job. I'm really, really looking forward to handing in my dissertation so I can relax for a bit. After that I'm off to do a PhD, which involves a contract, getting paid and so fulfills GregTheRotter's criteria.
Which one? Full time I'm an IT support engineer, but I am also a partner in a high turnover company, help the inlaws with their business and help the fiancée raise our family. And yes being a parent is a job before you question it! Lol
I'm living the good life at the bottom of the barrel. Catering assistant. Always knew the A levels in Maths, History and Physics, plus the Maths degree would lead to great things, like a minimum wage job. Not that I'm cynical or anything.
I design aluminium structures for the entertainment industry. I did love my job until I've had to work 8 weeks straight with 1 day out. Should be finishing about 10ish tonight.

IT Support Officer for Local Government - it's a decent job in the current climate, so yes, it's good! *edited to answer the below* I've a degree in Computer Networking & Security - but I'm desktop support at the moment
Front end developer & systems admin for past 3 years, absolutely love it. I'm interested to know how many people have a degree and in what area. I personally don't have a degree.
Im a branch manager for a fashion retailer again as some people have mentioned it pays the bills and rent. Its not what i studied for im a qualified product design engineer but hey being in retail is not that bad thats ment to be sarcastic by the way!!
Supermarket, on the shopfloor. Pays the bills, manager is a colossal douche (whereas the previous manager was a legend) but i put up with it until i can get what i want. I get entertainment from the local populace though, i swear this is the only town on earth where the average IQ is lower than the average age. "Can you tell me where the pancake mix is please?" "Yes, is just here look." "No, no. That says batter mix." ".................................really?" or "Do you stock instant fondue mix?" *Suppress urge to shout 'Its cheese, wine and milk in a pan ffs * or "Can you tell me where the milk is please?" "Certainly, did you want fresh or long-life?" "The blue one."
