Would that be the VOS Explorer either way its one of the IMT 955 ships, that is what i work on, great pieces of kit shame the spainish built them as some of the quality is lacking
Could be worse, you could be going to King's. I kid, just have to put in the customary put-down for a rival med school being from UCL.
GKT is horrific, I think we can unite on that one Though I don't think I could cope with either GKT or UCL's massive yearly intake (300+ is insane!).
Work in Waitrose stacking shelves, the only thing keeping me there is the money, or lack of. Waiting on my Navy application before I do anything else though.
I'm a self employed electrician. It has it's good moments and bad like any other job, I get all over the country with one of my contracts which is great but when it's quiet paying the bills becomes a big worry. Some times I wish I had a job where I know I had a set income each month but I also know that an office job would drive me crazy very quickly.
I'm a software engineer for an image processing company based in Sweden - I work at their Soho office though.
Systems Administrator for an Insurance Brokers in London, it pays the bills and it has it's good moments but I'd give it up in an instant if I had the financial stability to do so.
Part time student, full/part time planner for Navy public works. Not exactly the career path I want anymore, but it's great getting real experience and getting to play a part in million dollar projects is an interesting feeling.
I received a Electronics Engineering degree in 1981. With that single piece of paper I made over $200,000 US dollars last year. The options of how high you want to fly are open. I have 9 months left till full retirement and of my 3 degrees the EET degree has served me the best. Hardware and software. john
Cheers, John! That means a lot coming from someone who's done as much as you! Already had four electronics/software engineering jobs and I've absolutely loved every minute of them. I was offered an internship at Samsung in Korea this summer but had to turn it down because it started before my final exams.
Acoustic consultancy work by day which I love and I work in a call centre in the evenings, can't say it's the best job I've had but it pay's the bills and the people I work with are a great bunch. Got an interview this Friday with a building surveying consultancy so fingers crossed I'll be moving on shortly.
I'm a Machinist. My title is Engineer Assistant though. It just means I get to be a machinist who can tell the engineers and professors what they do wrong! It really means that students, engineers and professors come to us for advice on anything and everything. I'm in on the projects from design to finished product. 99% of the time, it's prototypes! If you count my time as an apprentice I've been doing it for 13 years and I frikkin love it! Ps. I didn't make $200.000 last year though! But I enjoy getting up in the morning and heading to work and that's all that counts! It's only 6 miles down the road and the salary is actually not that bad.
2nd Line IT Engineer, although I take umbrage with the engineer title as I've never even looked at an Engineering Degree and does a disservice to those that have. I asked my boss if we could change the titles to 1st, 2nd and 3rd Line System Administrator but he likes the kudos he thinks we get from being called "Engineers".
