Mainly Windows ones I suppose but I think mine has to be windows key + D for desktop. Or possibly Alt-F4 to close a program.

This might sound like a stupid thread but I think it's useful stuff :)

Windows + L to lock the server.

And hitting F4 to repeat the last thing you did in Word/Excel/Access etc.

Only use win&D, ctrl&C, ctrl&V regularly, but often use ctrl&B to bold text in excel.

Alt+Tab for switching between windows, or Ctrl+Tab for switching between tabs in Firefox. WIN+L too.

Use Win+D a lot also F5 is always a good one, but my fave has to be Ctrl+Shift+Esc for the task manager.

Also Alt+Tab when the boss is coming and I'm on bit! :D

Alt+F4, Alt+Tab, Ctrl+Tab (Firefox), Ctrl+Shift+Z/X/C/V/A/S/Q (All winamp universal shortcuts so i don't have to Alt+Tab from a game), Windows+E, Windows+R. :D That's about it really, Ctrl+Alt+Del as well, to bring up the Windows 2000 menu, rather than to reboot the computer :p. Shame i can't use Win+L on Win2k, that'd be useful. :thumb:

Does nobody use user-defined k/b shortcuts?

<ctrl><alt>F opens Firefox, W for Word, E for Explorer, D for Corel Draw, N for Notepad, etc. :thumb:

I use alt+tab and ctrl+tab alot. Too lazy to reach over 10 inches and grab the mouse. :hehe: Of course the Ctrl+C,V, and X for moving and copying files around.
Anyone here ever hear of the proggie Strokeit? :hehe:
I'll look for the link but it's kinda the same.
Use your mouse to "draw" symbols on the desktop to access programs and execute commands.

Probably just ctrl-x/c/v because I use them the most. And I overuse ctrl-s when I'm paranoid about some program crashing and losing my work :D

most used: win+r, then a cmd.

use ctrl-tab a lot at work when i have 4 or 5 excel's open ... (if you dont know, it works for any program with multiple windows open - try photochop or word, or excel) alt-tab to get to other programs ...

win-m works wonders for getting to those fresh downloads ...
ctrl-mousewheel for people that dont know how to size thier fonts correctly, and i mash f11 quite a bit on mom's pc, as it only does 800x600.

and i ritually hit ctrl-s in excel at work every time i fill a cell. damn network drives are about as stable as Crispin Glover with a 50 rock. we do our truck log, and our lot&dock inventories in excel ... if i lose a truck log, i get fired. no questions asked.

I use Win+L all the time. I'm paranoid about people going on my computer and screwing with it, so every time I get up, even if it's only to go to the bathroom or something, as I'm in a room with two other people.

    And also, the CTRL-Z/X/C/V/B/I/U, ALT-TAB, and CTRL-TAB.

So Lynx...what is WIN+C for?? I googled it and couldn't find anything on it (I didn't look too hard, but it still wasn't in a few of the first shortcut pages that came up)
