The subwoofer doubles surprisingly well as a chair ;) Also it does good work in limiting my daily on-computer time as the ass-strain gets too bad after about eight hours.

Grats on choosing the HP. It might well be the best product HP has ever made :)

I've been tidying this evening and I'm particularly pleased with myself.

Apologies for the awful stitch. If someone wants to impress me I don't mind sending over the originals

Damn that's a wacky panorama! Looking pretty nice... What are the speakers? Those look like Seas Excels, but I'm pretty sure you haven't built them from the Finnish DIY-kits.

Also the curtains seem a terrible lot like they were chosen by the missus.

    Speakers are ProAc Response 1SC

Hells no! My man cave, my curtains
Her only influence was the vase with the lilies, and the sax and clarinets (in the case) are hers

Just seems terrible empty there, doesn't it echo an awful lot? I know my room echoes, even it has a sofa, theatre-curtains and a thick carpet...

The panels on walls visible in the photo get rid of first reflection and there's an acoustic treatment on the back wall. The cushy looking chair only lives in that location when I'm not listening to music (normally my mrs sits in it to keep me company when I'm working). For music it would be where I was standing for the photos.

Oh indeed I missed those panels. I'm so lost with my current room. Concrete on 5 walls, it's so frustrating.

If you're really bothered by it, why not get some of that egg crate foam?

because the decent stuff aint cheap!

my flat seems to do fairly well acoustically considering no carpet. i'm considering getting a foam wedge or something for my sub though as that is a little boomy on the wood floor. I know what you mean though my last room was terrible acoustics

    *Phew*
I finally made it to the end of this thread, and as I have mostly gotten my setup installed in our playroom in the new house I will post some pics after work.

I just had to say that I finally got the "Mankz's Wall o' flesh" references, and I have to be honest and say that initially I just thought he was a somewhat overweight person with a tendency for exposing himself in public.

+1 on the wall of flesh Mankz, the missus would have a fit if I put up something like that. ;)

New flat for this year, new room. I've nicely outdone myself this year. Penthouse suite with balconies and the works. Really really close to uni too, not MY uni sadly, but our crosstown rivals. Sorry about the motion blur, my camera is somewhat outdated. You know on the Flintstones when it's just a bird sketching what he sees? I should be so lucky.

@elton - what is wrong with that widescreen LCD? doesn't look like regular 16:10 aspect ratio?
