Also there are four dots. I think my integrated filter of stupid writing is working pretty well.

Am I the only one who thinks that's terrible? I know it's like really cool to have 5 monitors, but those huge borders between the screens just renders them pretty much useless for me.

    This is far sweeter IMO.

Congrats and all... but because you CAN do something, doesn't mean you should.

    EDIT: nvm.

Yeah I can't stand borders either. I just want a single 30" screen.

    Today is a sad today.

Today is the day I have to take down all of posters and pass them on to a new home, for I am leaving boarding school.

    Sad times.

If you are going to have 5 monitors, at least do it right.

This setup allows me to easily look at all 5 monitors without them extending into my peripheral vision and the bezels easily separate my projects from one another rather than dividing a battle ground.

The effective screen area is 3576 x 2730 pixels and a ~45" diagonal. Each individual monitor is 1680 x 1050, 19" 16:10. It is all supported by a custom stand designed to be modular so I can arrange them in any format that I wish. Current programs running are Eve Online, the movie Serenity, Eclipse, Opera, and an Ebook.

That mass of wires up there is my computer.

The case is a Antec P180 Mini although the wife doesn't think it should have a "Mini" name attached to it. Although she does admit its smaller than my last case (a Coolermaster Cosmos).

Opened the case to take a picture of the insides...

I need to try and get the cables a bit neater but not a bad job considering the size of the case.

I've got a similar setup with an nvidia card and an 860. Do you find that while the H50 is silent, but the fan on the radiator makes a rushing sound? It's not bad, but I was toying with the idea of using the standard 180 case fan on it (instead of the Corsair boxed one) to cut some of the wind noise.

Obviously, the whole reason for the monitors on the left and right is to be in my peripheral vision. I'm a surround gamer, same principle as having 3 monitors in landscape, I just wanted extra FOV with more vertical height.

    Hi Silver51,

I'm also using the corsair fan out of the box and haven't really noticed a rushing noise, nothing over the other three fans (top, front and gfx card) and the two hard disks. My rig is certainly quieter than it was when I had the stock Intel cooler installed (which was only as a temporary measure for a few weeks before I got myself the H50).

I might try the Antec fan at some point that is in one of the drawers, to see if there is any difference between the two.

I have the fan setup as per Corsair's instructions, i.e. to pull air into the case over the radiator. Is this how you have yours setup? Or is it pushing air out of the case?

    Richard.

I figured dust might be a problem as it's near the floor, so I set the fan blowing out over the radiator to try and benefit from the case's dust filters. With the 200mm and the graphics card blowing out as well, it didn't seem that the inside would get that warm anyway.

The only problem I can think of after looking at the Antec fan again, is that it seems to feed off the 5v line. Two 5v fans in push pull should be okay, but I wouldn't be happy with just one on there.

Alternatively, I think I may have an inline fanbus in a drawer here somewhere. Might have a play with that, dropping the current fan voltage from 12v to 7v.

Which one? The laptop is a standard Ubuntu desktop, and the desktop I'm not sure where I got it.

I think someone else in the post your desktop/background thread might have a link
