little update with my new tower which has finally arrived after 5 weeks of waiting

I'd like a new keyboard but I have yet to find one that I really like

I'm so happy with the result. It was a pain in the ass to fit all the cables from my non-modular PSU but in the end it works great :thumb:

I got use to it but I don't really like it. I'm tired of red/blue backlighting (white would be perfect) and, even though I use some of them, the macro keys annoy me. I also think the look is also very 2004-ish (even though it's not old by any means). It just looks out of place on my desk imo

    Except it's a razer mouse :D

I just wonder why you have the monstrous XL on the desk rather than under it..

Check out the Logitech Illuminated Keyboard. I intend to upgrade from my gen 1 G15 to the illuminated keyboard because I can't type with it anymore. After using my laptop for nearly a year while my desktop was out of commission I need a mechanical keyboard to type comfortably.

Vo0Ds is right, it's brand new so I don't want to scratch it :D. Actually my old tower had been back on my desk for a month after about 5 years on the floor. It put it back on the desk because I had problems to diagnose and it was a pain in the ass to move the tower every time I had to open it. I also quite like it that way because it looks good (even though it's quite big indeed) and it takes up space that would otherwise be used for dirty dishes or random crap

the keyboard looks good but the fat enter key is a big no no for me. I absolutely despise fat enter keys :D

pretty good mouse. I have nothing bad to say about it except its shape is not as good as my Ikari Laser was. I was pissed when the Ikari died a month after its warranty was voided

What I'm about to add to it. I still have 2 or 3 whole pc's in the garage and a couple more boxes to sort.

Interestingly, the face-recognition on my camera picked up SHODAN both times... Machine empathy, perhaps?

SHODAN would have terminated me anyway for extreme pretentiousness. Here's a closer look at my MacBook:

I am almost tempted to buy a mac just for that skin.

But then I realised I would then own a mac :eyebrow: I haven't got anything against macs, I could never just use the buggers

    I had to share this

Im currently working on my final uni piece, which involves a lot of rendering as well as modelling and texturing (I've left it late as per ;). The rendering is taking absolutely ages as I'm doing 720p beauty shots (17hrs for 20 seconds), so I've borrowed a mates laptop so that I can model and render in tandem.

    So from the left:

Mates Dell XPS laptop (c2d, pretty good)

    My eee100 (iplayer/tvcatchup/4OD)

Main monitor is hooked up to the laptop as this is the machine I'm actually working on.

Secondary monitor is hooked up to my rig, but no keyboard and mouse its only there so i can make sure no crashes/monitor temps

I feel like an evil genius :D

Sweet choice on the speakers, I have the T40s here and they have been nothing short of awesome.
